Spatial plans for Patumahoe Village

These spatial plans are those created using the community feedback collated in the Draft Plan process.

They are not intended to be permanent  or fixed.  We have requested inclusion to the Spatial Planning resources provided by Auckland Council to the Franklin Local Board in a couple of years time to review and refine the plans.  Of equal importance, we believe, is the continued consultation with community that can be resolved with the creation of a Village Planning Committee.  This has been a major component of our submissions to Auckland Council via the Franklin Local Board and the written submission process for the Auckland Plan, the LTCCP 2012-2022 and the Franklin Local Board Area Plan.

We have been able to address concerns put forward by all those who have attended meetings or Open Days, and welcome any further submissions.

Patumahoe Village – Spatial plan for residential area

Patumahoe Village – Spatial plan for ONE option for village centre

Very basic 3d model -of Option shown above for village centre

Just a possibility of what the central area of Patumahoe could look like in 50 years time. Criteria included: retaining Patumahoe Rugby clubrooms (Patumahoe War Memorial Hall), the Patumahoe Volunteer Fire Station, and leaving open active area within the village centre.
For new structures, a community centre was created using the size and model of Moutere Hills Community centre, a specific village green was created with two sides having room for shops and businesses with upper residential stories. This village green fits into the existing tennis courts, bowling green and unused area, and would be developed in line with private developments and following relocation of these facilities.
