Incorporation and Membership Eligibility

Patumahoe Village Inc is community group that was incorporated in Oct 2010.

Membership is free to all residents, property or business owners within a 7km radius of the Patumahoe village shops. Membership is automatic if you become a registered user on this site, and you are eligible for membership.

If you are not within the association area, you can pay an annual fee of $15/year to become a Friend of PVI and this will entitle you to use the free classified ads feature, and participate on the forum. The community group originated after enquiries at the existing Franklin District Council determined that despite unprecendented residential growth planned for the village, no community facilities or assessments were due to take place. The incorporated society was formed in some haste in order to apply for a grant from ARC, before it was disbanded.

This grant money is being used to consult and inform the communities of Patumahoe & Mauku on how we can best safeguard our lovely villages from non-considered top level planning.

Part of this grant money was also used to initiate the building and hosting of this website, which will hope will be able to be sustained in the long-term with the support of local businesses and tradespeople.
